1963-2007

We were devistated to learn that our good friend, comic artist Mike Wieringo passed away recently at just 44 years young. Mike lent his wonderfully fun and joyful art to the most well-known characters in comic books, from Spider-Man to the Fantastic Four. Just a few short years ago we teamed up with him and writer Todd DeZago in the pages of their creator-owned comic book fantasy adventure series, TELLOS, for which we created the MikeWieringo font!

In tribute to Mike, we've lowered the price on his font set to just $39, and will donate all proceeds through August 2008 to the Hero Initiative, a non-profit group that provides a financial safety net for comic book creators in need.

Mike was very much A Friend of Comicraft and will be missed by us all.
